wedding rings

This story has a bad “ring” to it

Mr. Hajji of London wanted to surprise his girlfriend and propose to her with a special ring. He plunked down about $12,000 for a ring and put it into helium filled balloon.

The figured he could pop the balloon with the ring in it as He popped the question. Then his ring did a disappearing trick as it vanished into thin air. As he was leaving the store the wind caught the ring-bearing balloon and it blew away into the wind. He tried to follow the balloon with his car and lost it and the ring.

He kind of guessed the girlfriend would be mad and well she was. She now demands another ring.

-------------------------------------

I remember a wedding I did in a public park and the 2 something year old ring bearer lost the diamond wedding ring on the grass. Only one guest saw the ring drop on the grass and recovered the ring as the bride was crying during the ceremony as the ring exchange was supposed to be going on. The guest returned the ring and saved the day.

Never give a 2 year old the real rings to hold…

I liked reading that story! What is it about men loosing wedding rings?? I know the man in the story lost the ring for his bride and that’s not what happened to us but for some reason the story just made me think of this. I looked at all the different Jewelers around here when I was searching for a wedding band before our wedding day. My husband is a mechanic and I knew that whatever I chose had to be durable and most of the local jewelers suggested a titanium ring but I knew a few of his friends had those and they didn’t really like them, so I did research on the internet. I found a place that made rings out of Tungsten Carbide, which I had never heard of before but was told it was durable. So I went to their website http://www.eternaltungsten.com and purchased his ring. Well a couple of months ago we went on a weekend snowmobiling trip to the cabin and he lost his ring!! How does someone manage to lose a wedding ring when they are wearing gloves all day, if anyone can answer that then you’re smarter than I am. Most people think that it must have happened when he was taking his gloves off. All we know is that when we left in the morning he had it on, we were gone all day and we never stopped and took our gloves off. When we got back to the cabin and he took his gloves off and noticed it was missing I asked him if he had slipped his gloves off at some point and he said no. I have no idea what happened. So, I had to go back to the website and order him a new one!! I hope this doesn’t become a habit..
